Sucks that you may not have access to the internet while you're in your transition, but we'll keep a spot here for ya, no worries. Besides, there can't be many places left on this earth without a computer hooked up to a phone jack! I'm sure you'll be back here with us in no time [/b]
Hello Torndado Joe. :okbyenow: I'm sure that I'll find internet. I might move in with my friend and thankfully she has the net. *phew* I'd be pretty lost without it. I'd miss it so much. *hugs my monitor* Thank you for the welcome, I appriciate it. :)

I too can relate to the fear of being constantly judged. I always used to feel like eyes were on me when I walked out in public, or thought that for some reason everyone would drop what they were doing and would rear their attention towards whatever I thought was wrong with me (as ridiculous as that sounds). [/b]
Oh gawd, that's how I am all the time. It drives me nuts. I just have to accept the fact that some people will look in my direction. It's just nice to not be noticed sometimes.

Things changed when I got a job at a science centre about a year ago which basically forced me into having to deal with the public head on (this was scary for me). After a year though, my confidence level has seriously soared. I open up to strangers now, where as a year ago, I wouldn't dare talk to a stranger for fear of saying something stupid, and often the fear alone would cause me to act stupidly. [/b]
That's awesome. Hopefully I will get to that point in the future. I think once I get back out there and start working(I used to be a waitress and I never had social problems), I'll get used to working with people again.

I too have just recently joined the forum a few days back. The community seemed great from the posts I've read through weeks before joining, and the fact that it was a community of dreamers was the cherry on top for me! It's really good to see a fellow Canadian (or what seems to be a fellow Canadian) joining up, although on these forums I truly feel like nationality doesn't make any difference, but there's still a slight sense of pride involved there. [/b]
Welcome to the forums! Hopefully we'll bump into eachother now and again. Have a cup of coffee, sing the national anthem together. Show off some of our canadian pride. LOL *runs and gets my canadian flag foam finger*

Big fan of Enya as well although Enigma is my audio drug of choice! [/b]
*gives off a deafening scream* Enya! I absolutely adore her music. And I like some Enigma music. I have a couple songs on a burnt CD I listen too. Gravity Of Love and Turn Around(I think that's what it's called). I enjoy them, and I'm going to try and get my hand on some more of their music becuase I enjoy it.

Welcome, Lu!
I'm a little newbie here myself, but it is great to have you at DV!
Nice post, btw. Good to see a decent "newbie" post.
Aaaannndd... No need to be shy! [/b]
Welcome to DVs as well! Thank you and I'll try my best to not be shy. I'm actually having an easy time being myself here. I <3 it here. Where has this forum been all my life?!
Thank you to everyone who welcomed me! *gives you all a fresh picked flower* And to those who didn't... you get a flower anyway. It's great being here!
