Easy to become LD, hard to continue(and some opinions)

Before post the problem I wish to share a bit my LD expriences and some opinions about LD.
I started to read very much about lucid dreams a while ago. Until 7-8 april this year I thought that is something occult&new age stuff, but I found out that my mother and my sister dreams lucid *a lot* (including full control dreams, I mean they can continue their dreams as they want in almost every aspect of the dream - kind of an "advanced lucid dreaming with full control").For them, the LD are so common, that they didn't realised that not everybody does the same (In fact they replied like I was asking: "Did you ever walked?" or "Do you drink water?"). In fact they had even some natural WILDs (they fallen asleep to dream while realising it) :shock:
After I realised that LD is something good and natural, I started to think that it's ok to have myself. Meanwhile I asked many persons if they had LDs (I avoided to say the words "lucid dreams" instead I asked: "Did you realised that you are dreaming while you dreamed?"). And 8 out of 10 persons said "Yes!, sure. Of course".
In 13 April I had my "first" LD (I will tell you later by I put the "first" inside quotes). After became lucid, I woked up and I realised: "Hey! This feeling is *very* common for me. For sure I had in my life many dreams like this! (Where I realise that I am dreaming and wake up after this)". So I was lucid dreamer without being aware of it.
I start to have a dream jurnal and my first two-three dreams which I noted in my dream journal are lucid dreams. Now my DJ has more than 100 dreams (few dozens of them are from last years, but noted only these weeks).
Since then I had 10 lucid dreams (in this morning I had 2 in a row). Even if in most I didn't said:"I am dreaming!", I realised that I am dreaming before I woke up. And I didn't tried too hard to have LD (like I said, I started to have a dream journal after I had LD; and I didn't started to do RC, until few days ago :) ).
I started to "dig" inside my memories and I remember at least one LD that I had few years ago (was about my grandmother, who died in the real life, and when I "saw" her in the dream, I realised that is a dream and I woke up).
In my opinion it's a bit incorrect to say "Everybody CAN have lucid dreams". I guess that is more correct "Everybody DOES have lucid dreams", even if they simply ignore this and forget. I tested this by asking many persons if they LD,and most said "yes!".
Even now, when I am very interested about LDs, it was big changes to simply ignore some LD and forget (kind of thing that you are very used with something - this make me again to think that whithout knowing, the LD was something common for me). I guess that a big help for someone to "become" lucid dreamer is simply to realize that he is already a lucid dreamer without being aware of it(or simply thinking that 90% chance to be already a lucid dreamer).
Usualy I can recall 2 dreams a night (of course it varies from 0 to 5),and many times I recall the dreams in such detail that the size of the DJ for a night can be bigger than half of this post.
Now, my problem is that in most cases I woke up instantly after I realise that I am dreaming and the time is too short for spinning, or concentrating to something on dream.
How can I prolong the LD?

That is a very common problem that many LDers have at first and it's mostly a matter of practice. The first thing to do is just relax. If you become excited, you are more likely to wake up. I've found that knowing ahead of time that you might wake up will prepare you to stay asleep once you realize that you are dreaming.
One technique that I've been working on lately is focusing on your dream body. In one of my lucid dreams I was afraid that I would wake up laying down in my bed. However, I realized (after I did wake up) that my dream body was standing up. So, in my last LD when everything went black (as always happens when I become lucid), I focused on my dream body which was standing up. Another thing that often works for people is to rub your hands together. This works much in the same way and many people have found it useful.
