Hey there and welcome to the forum!!
If you want to try preventing yourself from falling asleep that badly, you might try having some caffeine (or sugar if your body can't handle caffeine), and you'll wake up, or maybe command yourself to wake up!
When you fall asleep in dreams, your mind is kind of fatigued, but having the LD was awesome!
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Hi redfiredragon000! :)
This is a good technique. But if you are genuinely tired this may not be the best one to try.
You may have been putting forth the amount of effort needed but you just were flat out tired. This may explain the dreaming of sleep.
Maybe try the WBTB method or the Hit again (assuming you were too tired)
Auto suggestion too.
Repeat over & over a phrase such as -- I am going to remember I am dreaming. Word it to your liking. But say it with true intent!
