Welcome to the forums. It's not often I post in here, but you're pretty far down in the forums and nobody seems to of posted yet.
Keep a journal. When you wake up, relax for 5 minutes and try to recall your entire dream. If you do this, you will be surprised at how from remebering just a scrap of information, the rest of the dream will flood back to you. Write this down in a dream journal (on a computer, in a notebook), after those 5 minutes, and work from there.
You joined 2 days ago.... dont expect lucidity to come overnight. (haha)
It will take alot of practice and effort. Keep trying, and before you sleep try to remember yourself of the intent to remember your dreams.
Welcome!
:( Unfortunatly for a person who can not recall any of their dreams, lucid dreaming is pretty much out of the picture. You want to get to the point of recalling two to three dreams per night. BUT if you keep a dream journal, like Kaniaz suggested you might begin to recall some of your dreams. Then go from there.
Having a lucid dreams takes some work....but its worth it.
Start off by remembering about 2 dreams a night...set your alarm for REM time.
5 hours into sleep, then in 90 minute intervals. :goodjob2:
totally agre with LC. just start with improving dream recall. tell yourself over and over before you go to sleep that you will remember your dreams and tell yourself you are a dreamer. then set your alarm clock for early morning sometime (with a good REM cycle helps) and then have a notepad handy near your bed. write down everything you can remember in your dreams. If you keep trying this every nite, eventually you will remember dreams more, become friends with your dreams and then you can move on to becoming lucid. first step is just friendly dream recall.
have fun with it!
Yep, recall can be improved. It was what I had the most trouble with actually. Follow everyone's excellent tips.
Yep this is a very valid point that takes some serious recognition Krippie. You gotta take it in small steps bro! First we need to work on your dream recall abilities before we can move forward.. Once you can at least recall your dreams then you're half way there. If you cannot recall your dreams then Lucid dreaming is pretty much out of the question. I suggest reading some fo the Dream recall threads :goodjob2: That will get ya underway.Quote:

Im going to let people with more expertise take over the advice on this one and just offer....dun dun dun...support! I'm the same way as you. Every once in a blue moon I'll remember a dream without trying to, but generally I dont. Just follow the good advice people have given you and believe in yourself. A dream journal really does help, no matter how corny it sounds or how much you'll hate havin to wake up to write in it. Uhm..good luck!
Exactly, wake up right before your REM period, stay up for 30 minutes repeating and reassuring to yourself that you will remember your dreams. When you achieve that objective you can use the same techinique to LD :D
If only that worked... i do that all the time, doesnt really work though :'(Quote:

Yup! always remember Different Strokes for Different Folks
Exactly, what might not work for you might work perfecrtly well for others...
It is a recognized technique, all you have to do is believe it....
Well it's a bad technique because I get up for nothing, even a nuclear war outside my bedroom will not stop me from sleeping. I shall sleep [sometimes I've woken up at about 2 in the afternoon].
