Hi. Im new to this site and the whole concept of lucid dreams , recall etc.
This may seem like a silly question but anyway - If ure sleeping and suddenly woken up either by someone or if you have to go do ure thing sometime in the nite does the dream cycle restart ? or say if u were in an REM phase would you pop back into it?
Also is the 4th stage the deepest state of sleep?
Sorry for the many questions but i am kinda confused :?
Im new to it all too but from what i understand once you get into your REM phase the first time, and then after that wake up you will return to the REM phase much quicker and it will last much longer.
This is also why its easier to get Lucid by waking up after 5 hours of sleep, stay awake 1 hour and go to bed.
Great i think that clears up something for me.
Think i'll put up a board next to my bed that goes like ... Sleeping Grizzly: Will bite wen in REM :P
those forceful wake ups are a pain!
