      Too much b6?

So, before thinking about it and researching all I could, I just took a 500mg dose of b6.

Dangerous? Not dangerous? I couldn't really find out from any other posts whether my dose would be unhealthy or not.

I don't expect any replies tonight, so I'll report back on my dreams in the morning.

      Sweet dreams.

If it's just ONCE, it's not dangerous. Just, jeez, don't do it again.

You only really need 50mg-200mg. Anything above is kinda superfluous. And, DON'T take it on a regular basis, itaking too much b6 can really fuck with your neurochemistry and cause damage. I usually find I wake up with a bit of a headache the next morning when I use b6. So, I try to use it less. I'd keep it to, say, 200mg, once a week, MAX.

Since I took so much, I mine as well report in on my dreams.

I found it slightly hard to fall asleep, and once I did, I was waking up after each of my dreams. All of my dreams were long, and very realistic. My dream recall seemed much better, as I woke up and immediately remembered my dreams. No after affects this morning.

I don't recommend anyone take that much b6, as it makes you very restless.

Yes, and I would have clarified if I was aware that there was another substance with b6 in it.

Ummmm. Okay. I dunno if you guys know this, but, here's the deal on all things b-vitamin related.

Dutring the course of a day, WITHOUT taking any vitamin supplements, if you east healthily, and get the reccomended daily intake of b-vitamins, you're sweet.

But, with b-vitamin supplements, and this is true not just for b6 but most of the other b vitamins as well, each pill contains often a hundred times the reccomended daily intake. Now... SINCE its only vitamins, that's okay. Not gonna kill you. BUT...

IF you take those b-vitamin supplements over long periods of time, daily,. it's gonna do some damage, potentially.

ONE pill once in a while is fine. But, unless you've spoken to a doctor or whatever, and he's told you to take the pills daily, I'd keep it to one pill, once a week.

B12 also helps dream recall and vividity.. I'm not sure about the absorbtion thingie. But, DONT take it just to balance out your b6.

BTW, b6 is usually prescribed for relief of PMS symptoms. So... essentially, every time you pop a b6 pill, you're taking PMS medication.

Like... the gist of what I'm saying, is, its fine to use the stuff occaisionally, and in sensible amounts... but for the luv, DONT take the stuff regularly!!!

Wow, 500mg.... I would not have been able to sleep at all. I can barely sleep on 100mg. I just take 1 50mg pill on occasion and there is a definite difference in my dreams when I do.

When I work on lucid research or have lucid task I need to carry out I'll take one pill 200mg of B-6 and it really helps dream clarity, recall etc. Not to say it triggers lucids but it certainly helps! I only take this once or twice a week usually.

I think with anything if you do it everyday all the time it will loose it's effect so you don't want to do that.
