greetings
Erm, yeh
So ive been wandering around here for quite some time now, but today I finaly decided to bug down and register.
So hi Im insomnia, yet another dutchman, 16 years of age
err lets skip to the lucid part aye?
About , no precicely 1 year 9 months and 6 days ago fate smacked me in the face with a baseball bat, and still continious to do so everyday really
That day i got seriously injured when grinding a rail.
I wont really go into detail here becouse people who i tell the story often react a little shocked, witch can also be fun in its own little way .
Since skateboarding is the funding my entire life is build upon, this obviously hit hard.
After that my life changed alot , i started to get alot of moodswings, insomnia attacks(hence the nickname), and a whole eco system of various mental disorders, which i do not really wish to discuss ;)( our bloodline is prone to such things) .
Also i got alot of nightmares, not your common " im running from evil" nightmares, mine where more of the " im running towards the evil" kind.
I oftend found myself cousing harm to myself (in my dreams mostly ;) )
and about 4 months ago i got my first lucid wile having such a nightmare, shortly after more followed and i found this site.
So basicaly my objective is to contact my subconscious and see if i can get some knowledge outta him .
I already sucseeded in calling him forth but failed to ask him the questions
what a waste :| .
Im also fully aware of the risks when taking such measures, my subconscious has already blocked a various things out of my memory and some are better to remain unfound.
Well i geuss that pretty much summs it up.
Thank you for your time :).

Welcome to Dream Views comrade. I hope you will have a good time here ;)
I am sorry to hear, yeah whatever happened to you. It must've been quite a strike on your daily life. Maybe you can turn your nightmares around and make them lucid dreams instead?
-
Thank you ^^ heh, my post seemes to be much more dramatic as i intended it to be, so dont worry :-P
Annyway my nightmares lack anny sort of dreamsigns, they are structureless in terms of settings and DC's .. it all varies with each dream
Il find a way though

Welcome to Dreamviews.
Sounds an awful lot like me. Right down to an injury on a rail (mine wasn't too bad, and I'm intact). I used to be plagued with uncommon, disturbing nightmares, and my family is prone to mental disorders also.
I found lucid dreaming to be quite helpful to aid in battle against nightmares. Hopefully you will too.
