WILD help
Hello. Last night, I tried WILD. I chose to count. I counted 1 - I'm dreaming, 2 - I'm dreaming etc for every breath I took. And, around 100 somewhere, my breaths just went lower and lower. I didn't breathe softer or so, I just couldn't hear my breath as good anymore. I got all excited. It stayed like this for a while, and I just kept counting, but when I reached 120 or something, I could hear myself breathing again! I kept counting, but I lost it at about 200 and fell asleep. :shakehead2: What was that? What should I do?
And, another question: when I try WILD, I often find my mind wander off, thinking on other things. Even if I softly bring my mind back on WILD, it always ends with my mind wander off, and at the end I can't realize it, and I fall to sleep. How can I stop my mind from wandering off without me noticing it?

Re: WILD help
I personally haven't tried the WILD, but I'll try and help anyways.
Some advice Howetzer gave me, did you not question whether or not you were dreaming while you were counting? Sometimes, slipping off to sleep is easier than you think.
My mind wandering is a serious problem I have too, I usually just concentrate VERY hard on what I'm doing. If it's gotten to the point where I can hardly think straight, I just sort of give up. I might try a different technique.

Yeah, I've tried WILD several times and it haven't worked.
MILD + WBTB have worked, thought, but my father get's mad, because he sleeps in the room next to mine, so my alarm wakes him up too. :shakehead2: The good thing with WILD is that you don't have to set your alarm.

One question. Are you trying this as you go to bed? It's a lot harder to do when you are ready for sleep.
It's best to sleep for five or six hours, and then try it.
Here's my tips.
Go to sleep for five or six hours. Wake up and write down whatever dreams you remember. Stay awake for a time.
After about an hour or so, you go back to bed and go to sleep. (try to make sure you do this at a time when you aren't going to be disturbed.)
While awake, try doing something that's dreaming related, browsing this forum, reading your dj.
I tend to think about what i'd like to dream about next, set the scene in my imagination and work out which dreamsign i'm going to use.
Go back to bed, telling yourself that you will spot your dreamsign, and recognise that you are dreaming.
If you don't have a WILD, you'll at least have another dream to recall.
Hope that helps!
