Well first of all I am 18 years old and have had a few Lucid dreams before and never realized there was anything to it. I can recall ussually 2-3 dreams per night if I put any effort into it and so can my mother. I figured because of this inducing Lucid Dreaming would be fairly easy.
The full day I was aware of lucid dreaming I periodically performed reality checks looking at a digital clock. That night when I went to sleep I made sure I was very relaxed and cleared my head of anything that was a pressing issue in my life.
I dreamed that I was in a big city and to the left of my was a digital clock. I looked down at it to perform a reality check and it said 12:11, I looked again and the clock read "7". I was pretty excited that I then realized I was dreaming. I decided that I did not being in the polution filled city and I would rather be in a field of grass with a few trees. I imagined where it was I wanted to be and spun around. Nothing changed after I spun around except a thin blue ladder descended from the sky. I spun around again and when I stopped the ladder spun around too, but not the whole thing at once, just a section of it. When that section would spin it would disappear and it did this until the entire ladder was gone. When it was gone I was looking at the field I had been imagining but it felt more like I was looking at an image of it rather than acctually being in the feild.
My lucidity must of been very low with this dream because I remember thinking that the field isn't really where I wanted to go, it was like it was the only option. Also I couldn't leave the city under my own will and when I got to the field it seemed far away. Also there were no details that I can remember from the dream except the ladder.
So thats it in a nutshell.

Welcome to Dreamviews.
So cool that you didn't have to try hard, that's already a good sign! Don't expect full lucidity right away, in fact, most people don't even control their dreams for the first few times. You seem to actually be in a rather high state of lucidity for a 'newbie'. Keep going!
