I have been on Dream Views for maybe a week now. I have had two dreams i could remember now and have wrote them down in my new dream journal.

For some reason, i seem to have my dreams when i dont lie there in bed and tell myself i will and want to remember my dreams. Is that odd?

Also, out of the two dreams i remember, the both have to do with water. In the first one it was more like a pool i was swimming in and the one i had just last night, i was living under water. This excites me, cause i hope i have found my dream sign. Although i know it is still to early to tell.

Hi and welcome to DV.

Water could be a dream sign, but I wouldn't say that until you have had more dreams connected to water.
Do you do reality checks?

Welcome to DV

I'd say there's a good chance that water is a dream sign. Like neavo said though, wait until you've had more dreams and then check how often water appears in them.

So stick to that journal!

Yeah, somewhat. Maybe your mind is "reversed". I've heard of this; people's minds do the exact opposite of what their autosuggestions say. Maybe you should experiment with this.

Hi Girl,

Eh, I'm gona go agaist the grain here and suggest you go right ahead and accept water as your dreamsign. Really, why wait?

A dreamsign is not something that guarantees you'll become lucid - it's really a symbol, or a link, something that you can bring into your 'dream mind' that references the fact that you're dreaming (or could be dreaming).

You see, just the fact that you're considering water to be your dreamsign is enough to maybe raise your suspicion next time you're in a dream.

Accept it as your dreamsign for now - go for it! Why wait and miss a chance of becoming lucid just because you're not sure if you dream about water often enough. It only takes one dream to become lucid - not a series of them.

NeAvO, no i havent been doing reality checks, but i really should start!

Tornado Joe, lol i like your reasoning. I am going to accept that as my dream sign unless i change my mind. But i've only just started, and things are up for change.

Tweak, i think i will mess around with this idea a bit, just to see what happens.

also thanks for the welcome and comment opheliablue

im excited cause last night i remembered the most details compared to my other dreams so far. I just dont know what my next step is. I've read the tutorials, but i could use some suggestions. Dreams just seem so far off and i dont know how i can just realise, oh im dreaming. Maybe with a little more practice it will become easy to recognise... who knows. Im up for any suggestions or input you have

Hey Echo,

My name's Rob and I'm new too. I'm with Joe (I think it was Joe), go for the water! After all, we are entering the age of Aquarius, which I think will bring 'phenomina" like Lucid Dreaming into general acceptance. 2000 years... who knows.

Something I have found to enhance Dream Signs is to immerse yourself in them in a creative way. So, immerse yourself in water... shouldn't be hard. =)

If you haven't seen or heard of Dr Emoto's work with water crystals I think this would be of great benefit to you. His work began in 1997 and was brought to popular attention with the wondeful movie, "What the Bleep Do We Know." The website dedicated to this AMAZING (re)discovery is "www.hado.net". Enjoy.

Dae,

Rob.

What the bleep do we know is definitely an interesting movie, but it is most of all not really LDing related. If you want to see a Lucid Dreaming movie, go see Waking Life.

That goes without saying, "Waking Life" gave me my first Lucid Dream. I recommended, "What the Bleep" because I was suggesting to Echo that she creatively explore a possible Dream Sign she turned up. The Dream Sign was water. No one does water like Dr Emoto, and his work is in the movie.
