My name is Max and I'm 17.
I started having lucid dreams about four years ago. I had one where I threw a car into a building (just to see if I could) and watched the corpses pile out like maggots. It disturbed me deeply, but since I knew it was a dream I instantly felt OK about it and just walked down the street. Then I awoke and it was morning.
After skimming thru Stephen Laberge's book I tried looking at my wrist-watch a few times in a dream, and the time changed just like he said. In the dream, I had the complex emotion of realizing that my dream was no different from reality. It was this very fact that allowed me to experience the emotion as well, and I appreciated this irony. In the dream.
Then I ran down the street, hopped into the air, and flew. It was so real. I've had plenty of flying dreams before, but never this real. It was orgasmic. I flew into a tree and felt every leaf I touched with my body. It was so, so, indescribably wonderful.
I have consumed marijuana and salvia (a legal psychedelic which causes a person to have extremely lucid hallucinations that last several years, though in reality the trip only lasts a few minutes) and I very, very much prefer lucid dreaming as a healthier, safer, and very much more fun alternative to escapism. You can actually control what is going on in the "hallucination," and that is mind-blowing.
I look forward to a wonderful journey with you as my companions into my spiritual self and also the heart of the universe!!!
Edit: I am amazed at the quality of this forum's moderation. I am so happy to have found you guys.
Edit 2: I know my name is silly, but it is not meant to connote anything.

Welcome to DV
It sounds like you have quite a lot of experience which is good. I still suggest that you take a look at the tutorials section though, so that you can learn up on all the best induction techniques.
Good luck with the LDing, x-pack

I just remembered having a lucid dream where I ran around my school with a magic paintbrush, changing the colors of everything. I ran up trees, and I was really light, so I walked perpendicularly to the earth up the foliage, bouncing off the leaves. Changing the colors of things by will is so fun! I painted the sky so it looked like tie-dye.
