Hello. I am glad I've found a website where I can discuss things I really am not able to in my normal life. Looks as if everyone is friendly here.
Well then, I am 18 yrs old and I've been interested in the paranormal/metaphysical for as long as I can remember. Only in the past two years I've started doing serious research into these things. As a child, I guess I had vague glimpses of lucid dreaming. Whenever I was in a scary dream I just sort of realized it wasn't real, and when I wanted to get out of it I just shut my eyes tightly. When I opened them I was back in my bed. It's only been more recently that more vivid dreams have occured. One of my more recent ones has been posted in the experiences forum.
So that's my intro. Nice to say "hi" to you all.

Hi Haze and :welcome:
Looks like you've quickly discovered the trick to waking yourself up from a dream. Only thing you have to be careful of is FAs (False Awakenings). Always try to do reality checks if you can (like breathing through your nose while pinching your nostrils shut).
Anyway, hopefuly you'll be able to have good dreams in which you'll want the opposite - to STAY in the dream.
