Hello, just found this website about a week ago.

I have had one Lucid dream, was a few years ago, it was in the early hours of the morning and i had already woken upo a few times, i must have gone traight back into a dream very quickly or something, and i remembered i had just gone to bed, so i must now be dreaming.

      WILD -

Anyway, last night i was around my mates with a few of the guys (Playing RISK - sad hah), i was up until about 2, so when it came time for bed, i thaught i may as well try a WILD. As i have read this involves going to bed, realxing and trying to keep your mind awake whoile your body sleeps.

I must have been doiung this for about an hour, my arms felt particularly heavy, and my body had a slight tingle. Suddenly my eyes started shaking and i couldnt keep them closed, it was like i was fighting to keep them closed, my heart was beating very very fast. I thaught to myself, i must be about to Lucid Dream.

But them everything stopped. I thaught something must have gone wrong, did i do this by fighting my eytes closed? everything was then calm.

Wow, sorry for the long post (my first aswell)
      --------------------------------------------

I guess my question is: Is it possible to do the WILD technique when your about to go to bed? In the tutorial i just read it says to set an alarm for around 3 or 4 and wake up for 30 mins then do it then.

      Hi, welcome.
As I understand WILDing is going from the waking state directly into the dreaming state. Since the REM period is every 90 minutes (?), then why not. The only difference is that the later REM periods are longer, I think.

      See ya .

So, it is best to get some sleep, first, otherwise you would have to wait 90 minutes?

Thanx for the reply btw. .

Yeah. Going to bed, get up after 4-5 hours and then try WILDing is best

But some people don't have to wait at all. They can just WILD anytime they want. I think that's called NILD.
