I had a dream last night and when I woke up it was the most I could remember from a dream in a long time. My recall has been really fragmented but this one was pretty clear. I'll start by saying I went to sleep around midnight, got up around 730, took 100 mg of B6, cruised this site, and went back to sleep.
I won't get too much into the dream beacuse I'm still remembering parts of it. What angered me about it was that there was so much going on that should have alerted me to the fact that I was dreaming, but I never did a RC, or even thought about doing it. At one point there was a couch in the foyer of my house (theres definitely not one there in real life). Also one of my friends had her lip pierced which is also not true in real life. The thing that really gets me is that I remember thinking in my dream "hey, she doesnt have a lip ring" but I guess I just rationalized it by thinking that I hadn't seen her in a while. Does anyone have some good tips for making yourself remember to do RCs in a dream. That seems to be my main problem right now, I question reality all the time during the day but at night I just go along with everything that happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Everyone has their own ways of reaching a lucid state in their dreams so i encourage you not to give up after trying only a few things. Many things in a dream that would normally seem completley out of this world, seem just fine. I've reached a lucid state, and in the middle of doing an RC with my alarm clock, i was sort of warped into a different room in my house...but in my dream it all felt completley normal, and i quickly lost lucidity.
Some techniques to help you reach lucidity-
Make Reality Checks a habbit, not just a once in a while thing. Also try and structure them so you do an RC (of your choice), during or after an event that is likely to repeat itself in a dream, (or you have dreamt of before). So for example... If you dream about driving a lot, everytime yo uget inside a car, do an RC. Maybe when you turn on your signal, do another RC, so now the car has become a dream sign, and if you dream of it youre more likley to question and do an RC, therefore becoming lucid.
Tune in your senses during the day. Notice objects...how they feel, look..the shape of them. Do this with anything and everything throughout the day. This can not only help you gain lucidity, (an object might look warped or out of proportion in a dream), but it can help your memory and dream recal.
Start a dream journal. This can greatly increase your dream recal, and make it easier for you to remember any lucid dreams you might have, and it might even help you gain lucidity. If you see a pattern in your dreams, such as dreaming about cars a lot, then you can adapt your waking life techniques around this to help you become lucid.
Try different techinques to becoming lucid. http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/inde...showtopic=3243 Here is an acronym finder/def forum, and there you can find tutorials on many different techniques to becoming lucid. I also recommend the FILD (aka HILD) technique. http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/inde...showtopic=5270
Relax and dont become frustrated. Know that you WILL become lucid. Its not a matter of if, its a matter of when. A dream is all in your head, so any doubt you have is going to be translated into "failure". Hope this helps you out :)
