First of all, hello everybody!!!
I'll tell you a little history as to why I'm here: well, it all started about a year ago when I had a very vivid dream in which I realised I was dreaming when I tried to turn a light on and it wouldn't come on and other things and I just realised I was dreaming. So I stood there for a while thinking 'if I'm dreaming, then all of this is being created by my brain, so I tried to make a light come on by thinking it, and it worked. I've asked lots of people about the idea of dreams being like a kind of matrix for your brain, and everyone is kinda interested but doesn't seem to know much about it. Anyway, I was doing research on doppelgangers on wikipedia a few days ago and kept reading different things, astral projection etc.. then I eventually researched lucid dreaming and ended up here.
So yeah, that's my story about why I'm here, I'm very interested in the idea of lucid dreams and would like to have more, I'd say I've had 3 in my life, but only one where I've actually had control for a little bit of time.

So yeah, please post your experiences and such, and any extra tips on how to control lucid dreaming. I can't alter much about my timetable since I have pretty tight hours, so other than that what can I do to increase my chances of having a longer, more vivid lucid dream?

Hi and welcome to the forum Master_Sobu :) .
To start to LD, I'd recommend having a dream journal to help your dream recall and help your recognise dream signs. You should also do reality checks so that while in a dream the question "are you dreaming?" pops into your head and helps you realise you are asleep.
For more information check the tutorials section.
Hope that helps :).
