Hi all, my account just got validated so I'm posting an introduction. I'm 16 years old and I've been reading about Lucid Dreaming for several weeks, trying to learn a lot about it. This is the first LD forum I've joined.
I know I've had Lucid Dreams in the past, years ago, but I was unable to control them. I have been doing a Dream Journal for a few days now and I'm realizing that I have a very difficult time remembering my dreams. Usually I awaken and the my mind sees the dream as if it was something that happened in waking life, usually only an hour or so later do I remember that it was a dream.
Anyway, can't wait to learn more here.

I just got validated today myself. I have a fairly easy time remembering at least a little of my dreams when I wake up, but am working on the lucid part.
Wanted to just say welcome to someone who's as much a newbie here as I am. :)

Hey there Emerson -- welcome to the forum! :D
Don't worry about your recall problems. If you continue with your dream journal, and try some of the other techniques talked about in the Tutorials section here, you'll find it getting easier to remember your dreams, and in more detail. Just don't get frustrated -- even the most experienced dreamers won't have perfect recall every night; so many things can get in the way. Just keep working at it, and have confidence that it will come, and it will. And please don't hesitate to ask questions -- that's why we're here!
