Heya
I've read quite a lot about people using sounds and sounds generating frequencies in the brain and relaxing music and all sorts to help with dream recall and lds. So yeah might help out, good luck dude!

Yeah I put together a large sound file with myself whispering things about lucid dreams and to do reality checks, and I set up a program to play it in the middle of then ight w/ my headphones on. First time it woke me up, but I added some music and echoes, and I'm going to lower the volume, maybe it'll help it blend in a bit more.

Last night was the first time I practiced my dream recall. All in up I remembered 3 dreams perfectly. I went to sleep listening to music, and by the time I had my first and second dream the music had turned off. But I woke up and turned it back on, went to sleep again, had a dream, then woke up and the music was still playing. It didn't seem to affect my dream world at all.

I had music playing in the background of my first LD because I went to sleep with it on. It was fuzzy but fun :) .

Try and associate a certain song with dreaming. Every time you hear it, do a reality check. Put it in a playlist or on a CD, where you think it'd come in while you're dreaming.
Hopefully you'll do an RC while dreaming, and become lucid.
