Hello!
I've been browsing this website and forum for a few days now and decided to sign up. I had not even heard of lucid Dreaming until I came across this website and it caught my attention immediately. I have read a few tutorials and have read many topics throughout this whole forum to learn people’s experiences and how to do things.
I've just started my dream journal thingy in my little book I have here, so I can have better dream recall. That's right isn't it? I was also wondering is necessary to have good dream recall in order to have lucid dreams? I'm going to work on my dream recall anyway I was just curious.
Just out of interest I tried that FILD technique last night (and failed miserably  ) but I think it's better to work on this journal thing first isn't it? Then maybe try those other techniques like WILD and the sort...They sound a bit difficult.
I am very interested in learning as much as I can about Lucid Dreaming so I'll keep looking around here.
Thanks! :D

Hi Dandalf  Welcome to the forum!
You're on the right track, reading through the tutorials and starting a dream journal. Your DJ will help your recall, and will also help you recognize common dreamsigns, which will help you become more aware of when you are dreaming.
To answer your question about recall, you don't HAVE to have good recall to have an LD - in fact, I'm sure you've already had LDs but just haven't remembered them. And, let's face it, what's the point of having an LD if you can't remember it, right? That is why dream recall is so important. Keep up with your DJ and give the dream recall tutorial a read ify ou haven't already. Also, there is a portion of the forum designated for recall questions, so make sure you browse through there for ideas and tips as well. Make good use of the search function.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Good luck and have fun! :D

Welcome to Dreamviews :welcome: Dandalf
Wow you really never heard of Lucid Dreaming? Well you are definitely in for an adventure that’s for sure. It's very good that you started keeping your dream journal because that helps in more ways than you can imagine. That's a Key Element in obtaining Lucid Dreams. As far as techniques I like WILD a lot and for me it's the easiest to induce. But take a look at the Tutorials in your spare time you can really get a lot of information there as well. Burns covered all the important stuff :goodjob2:
Well good luck and I'll C-ya around.
