I've discovered this domain ( Lucid Dreaming ) about an year ago, and since then I've never looked to serious at this subject.I've tried a little to have a lucid dream, or make a dream journal just 2 or 3 days ( not just once but just 2 or 3).
Now I've decided that I want to live this experience.
Now what I've observed.I wake up every morning at 8 ( that's the time when my clock is ringing ), but after that sometimes I go back to sleep for short periods of time ( let's say 15 minutes ) until the clock will ring again. In this short time I've noticed that I have short dreams, but I can't control any of them.
What can you say about my situation ?
I'm new and I have to read the whole forum, but this month is full with exams, and I have to learn, but I'll try to spend a little time before going to sleep on this forum.
Have a wonderful day !

You should try setting your alarm for maybe 15 minnutes early for starters. It will be funner if you can control it for 20 minutes instead of five. Next you should try to induce lucidity. try setting your alarm so you have more time when you wake up. Then there is a WILD(wake induced lucid dream) technique I saw some where where if you just lay still and wiggle your fingers for a while, do an RC and you will be dreaming. It's in the attaining lucidity section if you want to read it. If it doesn't work then try the tutorials section for more methods. :bigteeth:

Typically, the morning routine you described is a good recipe for lucid dreaming. When you give yourself the extra fifteen minutes of sleep, focus on staying conscious. One of the best ways to do this? Start multiplying: two by two, said result by two, and so on. In general, you simply need to concentrate on some waking-world element to keep your mind occupied. Eventually, you'll start to notice what we call hypnagogic sound and (sometimes) light. It is very difficult to explain hypnagogic sound and light, so I'll simply describe them as aural and visual sensations that you can "feel." This is a cue that you are about to enter a dream state. Don't get excited or you will wake up! You may eventually experience "sleep paralysis" in which you discover that you are unable to move. This is quite true--your brain has severed its connection to your body's motor controls as a protective measure. At this point, you must "will" yourself to move. If successful, you may be incredibly tempted to believe you are awake in your room, but you won't be! Look in a mirror if you aren't sure; the result will confirm or deny that you've entered a dream-state.

I think that this night after posting this post I've had a lucid dream.
So ...
I've got in bed, and can't fall asleep. After some time I was sleeping. Before falling asleep I was repeating in my mind "I can remember and control my dream."
This morning I can remember very good the dream.I was fighting for a long time with a midget Bruce Lee, and a little japanese girl like those from Street Fighter ( computer game ).I was fighting for a long time with them, and at the end I was punching the girl for some time, and I've got a little tired, and then I said "You have the let your opponent to hit first, and wait."
I remember all kind of moves, and fighting tricks that I've done in the fight. At the end of the fight the girl disappeared and someone told me that she was just for money there.
This was my dream.I also remember that in this night I have switched my sleeping position many times. My mother tell me that all night a police car was making noise ( I didn't heard nothing ).In this morning I woke up at the first ring of my telephone.I'm feel very good.

This may be totally stupid, but is there a chance that you are from a different country? I was just wondering.

Welcome to the forum :D
Well I'd concentrate on the exams for this month first, I mean they are most likely important, get them out of the way first and once they have been over and done with then you can concentrate on LDing. When you wake up in the morning at like 8 and go back to sleep you will (usually) have clearer dreams and have a higher chance of going lucid. I suggest you to set the alarm a hour earlier or maybe 2 hours, so that you can try a WBTB method where you stay awake for an hour and read about LDing then go back to bed so that you have a really good chance of getting a LD.
Hope this helps :)

First off, having a lucid dream is defined simply as knowing your dreaming WHILE you are dreaming... its not remembering your dreams, but actually "awakening" your mind while in a dream. Controlling them goes from there.
As mentioned above a few times - Try WILDing.
I would reccomend waking up before your regular time to WILD though, as 15 minutes may not be long enough to go into a dream and have some fun :)
Happy dreaming, look in the tutorials section!
