Hi everybody. Though i have been visiting this site every day for about 3 weeks this is my first message on this board.
Allow me to tell you how things went from the day i found out about this site (and please excuse me about my spelling, i know it's not perfect).
I was bored and browsing the web trying to find something interesting i remembered the conversation i had with my friend earlier in the day. We talked about how cool it would be if we could control our dreams and be aware that were "just" dreaming. So just for fun i simply googled "dream control" (i think) and imideatly came to this site.
I read the introduction and was (literary) like    :bigteeth: !!
OMG DREAM CONTROL IS REALLY POSSIBLE???!!! AND ITS EVEN LEARNABLE?? Of course i spent the next 6 hours reading tutorials and boards trying to understand everything about lucid dreaming.
Realizing the countless possibilities of lucid dreaming my enthusiasm went skyhigh and and is still rising.
I decided that no matter how long it takes or how hard it might be i will become an expert lucid dreamer. I browsed through some LD webpages and realized this one is the best for me. It has a huge and striving members community and is also not too "spiritually based" (not that i would have anything against spiritualism... its just not my cup of tea :))
So i started writing dream journal (it did improve my dream recall) and decided to test the different techniques of lucid induction (dild, mild, wild...) to find the one that suits me the best. I also installed Brain Bullet (subliminal messaging program) on my computer. I do reality check everytime i remember ( i did one now :D ). Great trick is to write DC on your wrist or palm so you do RC every time you see your !!hand!! ...so its a double RC!! :bigteeth:
Anyway... the third day after the first visit of this site (fast, isnt it?) i had my first lucid "dreams" (or should i say lucid moment? :))
In dreams i saw a poster, turned away and when i saw it again, the text changed. I was like Hmmm... wait a sec!! Is it really possible that im dreaming? I performed the nose reality check and strangely i couldnt breathe (well i could but very very little air came through). After that i cant remember anything. Maybe i woke up or simply forget about it all and dream further. Nevertheless the progress was made and it gave me even more motivation to try further. Since than i havent had any lucid dreams, but it is the consequence of a extremely exhausing schedule i had for the last 2 weeks and even my sleeaping order was (and still is) totally destroyed. But it will go back to normal soon and i cant wait to try it further.
So one more time... Hello all "DV members" have a great time and many many lucid dreams.
CU around at the forum! :)

Hey Saje, and :welcome:
That's great to hear about your experience and that you found our site an inspiration! It's quite common for new members to experience their first lucid dream just days of coming on the site. It's not only because the site is so great <<--gloating :chuckle: - but it's also due to the fact that you're anticipating and expecting a lucid dream because of your focus on it.
I recommend reading books or watching movies about lucid dreaming as well to further get you motivated. As far as books go, I would start with Stephen LaBerge's "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming". Waking Life is probably the most well know of lucid dreaming movies, but there are other out there - most recently Mirror Mask.
Anyway, lookig forward to hearing more about your lucid experiences! :)
