I just wanted to let someone (I don't care if it's a complete stranger ) know that I just woke up from my first lucid dream. I did WBTB today, relaxed my mind and told myself I'd question my environment when I saw my boss(HUGE dream sign). I fell to sleep and I saw my boss. It worked! Then I stared at my hands and spun a little bit to gain focus and everything looked so clear! I ran inside and found my dad there. I said "Dad, I did it! I know you're not real, but I just wanted to tell you!" I kept my focus for what seemed like 3-5 minutes before I got all stupid and dreamy again.

The best part is now that I KNOW I can do it, I feel much more confident about it. (Think Harry Potter and his first fully formed patronus, if you're an HP nerd)

Actually, Jacqui, I AM a huge HP nerd and I know exactly what you are talking about! Way to go on the LD, and next time maybe you'll be able to pull out your wand and really see what you can do.

Yeah, when I develop the presence of mind to actually control something, HP spells are HIGH on my to do list, believe me!

Thanks. I have unbelievably common dream signs, so I'm glad I finally recognized one, or I would have started to feel silly, haha.

Thanks to everyone for the congratulations. I'm very excited and I don't think I would have been able to do it without this forum.

TripleX, maybe you should read the tutorial section of this site. It has most of the information you need to get started with LD. If you should have any questions after that, feel free to ask.

Hey there. I just thought I'd say "Hi" and chip in that I'm a BIG supporter of WBTB as a recall technique and also to combine with lucid techniques. Highly effective, especially for those of us with naturally bad recall.

most techs work best after you wake up in the middle of the night.

Yeah, you got it, man, that's WBTB down to a T.

I'd reccomend you look into MILD. There's a tutorial here. It's a technique that's perfectly suited to WBTB.
