whats it like? becasue i tried it last night and after a while my body felt really heavy, i started getting hot, and everything felt like it was shaking around. i got pretty scared so i opened my eyes and moved which stopped it, if i hadnt would i of gone into a LD? or was that just a random wierd experience i got for some reason?

Well...I'm not that experienced but I know that you had Sleep Paralysis or something on those lines....It's nothing to worry about and if you just yourself go, you can Wild....
Shaking and stuff happens to everybody (or nearly), don't worry about it...

cool, cant wait to try again tonight. also does it get any easyer to stay so still? those twitches are so tempting lol

It IS tempting to move, isn't it?
Something I thought of: Maybe you could treat the whole "SP vibrations" things as a massage! Maybe that sounds strange, but hey, it makes the experience a positive one, and reduces the temptation to move.
It does seem to get easier to stay still with repeated attempts, though. Maybe it's just the SP becoming more familiar.

i tried again last night and the shaking thing happened again but then it just stopped and i went back to being just lying down in my bed really still, i stayed for another 10 minutes (as a guess) but the stopped because i was boining (i always get really hot when doing it btw)

Hi mr75, personally I wouldn't recommend WILDing as one of the first techniques to do because it is unbelievably hard and usuauly puts many people off LDing off as they can't do it.
I don't have much experience with WILDing to answer your question correctly but I'd say it most likely would go really dark and then pictures start to "pop-up."

what method would you recomend?

I'd say a WBTB method and then try and do a MILD. Thats the basic newbie techniques, they are easy to do and are quite effective.
Also do you use a Dream Journal? That helps you to get better recall as well as recognise dream signs. Also Reality checks help you to question the if you are dreaming, hopefully after doing a couple of reality checks a day, it will cross over into your dream and make you realise you are dreaming.
It's all in the Tutorials Section, incase you haven't checked it.
Hope this helps :)
