I'm new to the forum... but I'm really interested in lucid dreaming. I've had a few in my life... but now I'm having some serious serious trouble with dream recall. Does anyone have any advice on how to improve this? I've been doing the thing where you ask yourself if your dreaming throughout the day and then write "I will remember my dreams down" before I go to bed and telling myself I'm going to remember as im going to sleep but i'm really having trouble with it. Sometimes I'll remember my dreams but I dont think I have at all in like the last week and a half. Do you guys use anything else that helps you? Lately i've been busy with school and have only been able to get about 5 or so hours of sleep is it impossible to remember with this little sleep? isn't it after about 4.5 hours that you hit REM sleep and shouldn't i remember if im just waking up after this? Thanks! |

Welcome to the forum. As carlhungis has already stated, a dream journol is the best thing to keep. Write something down, even if you can't remember, and eventually, you'll remember something. Then, you'll remember more and more than you did. Also, try taking a bit of vitamin b12. It's good for the memory. |

Indeed. It's probably obvious but you'll need to seriously cut down on how much you play that game if you want your recall to improve to its former level. |

Yeah I have actually started keeping a journal for about a week or so now. I think my problem is being rushed in the morning too it doesn't leave alot of time to go over my dreams. Is it possible to remember the dreams you have earlier in the night with practice or do you have to wake up after each one? When i remember anything with my dreams its usually the ones right before I wake up... unless for some reason the dream woke me up. Like this morning I woke up around 9 and realized I was dreaming something about dream recall and lucid dreams... probably from reading so much on this forum lol. but i fell back asleep for like 30 mins n after that 30 mins i couldn't remember any of the details. vitamin b12 huh? yeah some of the other boards on here said something about vitamin b6... so i bought some of that today hopefully it'll help |
