Hello everyone. Been real into dreaming for a while. I have great recall and usually remember a dream at least every other time I go to sleep. it was not until recently that i became interested in developing lucidity and control.
I have had dream control once about two years ago now but I'll never forget it. I started to fly immediatly. Look forward to learnign and sharing with you all.

Thanks Sloth. I think my first efforts will be directed towards reality checks. I have tried this before but always get all excited and wake up. Any tips on how to prevent this? Or do I just need practice?
-
You mainly just need practice relaxing. Getting excited is the worst thing you can do in a lucid dream. That and.. you know.. SHC. :(
Do RCs.. Like 320r25353205730295 times a day.

WELCOME! I'm Shadow. Nice to meet you!

Yeah, wear a watch so i have made a habit of double checking it. Also, is there place to go to figure out what all these abbreviations and slangs mean? Like what is SHC?
-
SHC isn't a dreaming acronym, so don't feel bad.
Spontaneous Human Combustion. :)
It's where you suddenly burst into flames for no explainable reason!!
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!
-
Sloth does it every other Tuesday just for fun.

Hey OMB and welcome to the forum :D
Well you've come to the right place for dreaming, just look around. We're all ready to help each other. Well if you need any information you should check out the Tutorials Section. That has it all. Most people have lucids at a young age, its like our way of escaping nightmares when we're young.
There's also an Acronym List in the Tutorials too.

Aha, Thanks NeAvO.
Oh yeah, feel free to check out my Dream Journal.
