Hey everyone. I've been interested in dreams and how the mind works recently... And by that I really only mean I've read about 5 wikipedia articles in one day regarding sleep disorders/how the mind works/dreaming, which lead me to lucid dreaming. And ergo to this forum.
I'm sure there are no negative (or very few unlikely, but probably serious negative effects) of LD'ing, but I'm not sure if I'm going to try it. I'm actually more interested in reading about the dreams you guys have and such.
But! If there does come a time where I begin showing interest in taking this up myself, I'd want to enter one of my own drawings/paintings in my dream... More specifically, I'd like to try explore this one. If not that, then I'd want to explore my own cartoon series I'm sort of making... and live the role of the leading character, both out of curiosity, and to help me develop the story more.
But I'm wondering if I might like it too much, and ergo start looking forward to sleeping to dream lucidly... That's what is scaring me, as I have a semi-addictive personality to be honest... Still... Until I make my decision, it'll be pretty cool to stop by here now and then and read some of the story's all of you have. I've only read a few, but they're very interesting already. :)
Thanks for reading, and yeah... Hi!

Hey cool you have a da account too, and I may add, nice drawings!! It's a wonderful thing that you want to get closer to your creations through dreams. I don't see any harm in it, I see it as just getting more of a kick out of having dreams, which doesn't affect real life all that much.

Hey there, welcome!
I also have a mildy-addictive personality, but not too bad that I can't control myself.
I've found that I don't always have the time to practice LD techniques, although I am fascinated by it and read up on it regularly. I also keep a DJ, and whenever I find the time I try a MILD. It never works though!
Anyway, I think it's so worth it, give it a try! As long as you realise that you can't sleep in order to escape reality, then go for it!

Hey. Thanks for the warm welcome, compliments to my pics, and the reassurance. I really appreciate it. :) Time to go browse the forums to see other people's LD experiences. =D
