hello im tom, im new to this forum and am not really into lucid dreaming.
i have come here as i am experiencing strange states in between dreams and am looking for answers.
quite often i enter into a state where i am concious like in a lucid dream but am stuck like with sleep paralysis.
i have no visuals, total blackness. i have no body or self i just "am". i begin to get vibrations, by pushing or forcing i begin to get violent vibrations that slowly build up and up, the closest description i can come up with is like putting your head inside a boeing jet engine that is starting up... its unpleasant. i get a sense of white noise that increases with the vibrations, also unpleasant. im have been calling it ACCELLERATING as this is what it feels like.
anyway until recently these episodes would have me accelerate to a point and then stop and then begin again. over the past few years they have become more and more intense, i have been accelerating further and more violently until the other night.
the other night something new happened. i accelerated to a point beyond where i have before, then i peaked like a nuclear reactor going critical and basically exploded, like KA-BOOM!!!! but without the typical holywood explosion, more like a cliche anime nuclear explosion, it fizzled out then repeated 2 maybe 3 times.
its not nice and i just wanna know if anyone has heard of anything like this before and why its happening, its cool after when i wake up but during it's horrible.
i used to OBE alot and the start of this state was kind of where i would leave my body, but now its like im stuck there, when i try to push out i start off the violent vibrations, also the few OBE's i have recently had dont involve me going through the stages i used to have to go through, i just remember coming out of my body.
HERE IS THE UBER WEIRD PART!!! if think about the accelerating experience i actually begin to get the vauge sensation of it, and i get (what i think is) energy surging through me loads and really intensly.
i only know what this feels like as i used to play with psionics a bit.
any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time,

I've never heard of anything exactly like this before, but I have heard of things slightly similar before. The vibrations aren't that unusual, considering that pretty much everyone's experiences with hypnagogic states are at least a little different.
As for the exploding thing, the only thing I've heard that sounds anything like that at all is exploding head syndrome. I doubt that's exactly what it is, but it's likely to be something similar. In any case, it's almost certainly harmless.
As for the cause, things like that can be caused by excess stress or an irregular sleeping schedule, so if you're overly stressfull or don't have a good sleep schedule, fixing that may eliminate the problem.

That is weird, I've heard of stuff like it but have never experienced it myself. I'm sorry but I don't know what to say that can help you.

thats okay, to be honest asking questions here is kinda my last ditch attempt at finding out whats going on, its not even during a dream state really. i have been practicing obe's for years and am quite familiar with the wierd states and things that happpen when you stay concious...
i guess its just been a while since something completely new and unfamilliar happened. i said its unpleasant but so were the states of sleep paralysis and entering into obe's when they first happened. ill just deal with it like i did learning what obe's were as a kid.
