Hey i am new here. Ive always thought dreaming was such an amasing thing and we should pay more attention to them. Then when i found out you could control them i went crazy! I have my dream journal and i'm following most rules. But i had an idea. Sometimes you will dream of something your thinking about right before you fall asleep or you dream about something you did the same day. Well what if everyday you focused on a mirror for a couple minutes and them maybe one would appear in your dream. And as i hear, mirrors really help realize you are dreaming. Just a thought.

Hi, and welcome to the forum. I'm glad that you've joined us and that you are so interested in LDing. Why not try your idea out and tell us how it goes? It sounds like a good one, after all. Stick around awhile, and I hope you have fun.

That definantly is an awesome idea.... My only problem is if i was to see a mirror i would walk right through it and then say, that was fun lets do it again dirka dirka!! I wouldnt be able to make a difference, but im working on that, but from what i hear mirrors do help a WHOLE lot. BUT dont get discouraged, i tried and tried and tried and i finally just had my first LD a couple nights ago, it wasnt much but it counts!! and then one the night directly after. So im still working hard.
Welcome to the forum..
Peace out

That actually is a pretty good idea. Imagine if you worked at a mirror factory. I dream of work-related things on a fairly regular basis. About the mirror, though, I had a dream mirror trigger an LD just last weekend. I was wiping my mouth and looking in the bathroom mirror. I noticed that my arm and hand weren't reflecting. Ah, I'm dreaming!
Just today, I was at a thrift store looking for gaming stuff and saw a mirror there. I examined the mirror for a little while, hoping to find an anomaly. No such luck. Then, just now, I come across this topic. Hopefully there will be faulty reflections in tonight's adventures.
But I do like the idea of thinking about mirrors more often, especially when trying to fall asleep.

I was really into thinking about mirrors for a while, and wondering what I would see if I looked into one in a dream. After almost a year, I still haven't managed to do it! I kind of forgot about it for a while. Actually, I don't think I actually tried looking in one (other than like randomly as I brushed my teeth) before bed  that might help! I think I'll try that.
I always like hearing what people see and/or do when the look into a mirror while lucid. I think that is fascinating. I'm still kind of scared what I'll see. I'm sure it's like a reflection of your ego or something psychological like that.
Thanks for the reminder!
