So I've had one lucid dream to date... unfortunately I was 'thrown' into it and didn't really do it on my own accord (ie I fell of a building and didn't die - a pretty extreme reality check and certainly not of my will).
So my problem is that even though I seem to have alot of dreamsigns in my repitoire, I never seem to recognize them! Like for instance... my brother who lives several thousands miles away often appears in my dreams and I don't seem to take notice that he shouldn't be there. I made up petty excuses in my mind or just think to myself 'oh cool he came all the way from England' I know the bell and whistles should be going off in my head but they aren't...
Has anyone had a problem like is? Any help would be appreciated I hunger for another lucid dream the first one was so good lol.

Hey, you could try mixing up RCs and dreamsigns with a bit of mnemonics before bed. While you're in bed and falling asleep, repeat to yourself in your head "I will see my brother in my dream tonight, and I'll recognise I'm dreaming when I see him." Or the like. If you're not doing this already, this can reall help - it;s less passive, it;s almost dream incubation, a form of MILD.

Most people will miss obvious dream signs all the time. It happens to me all the time. All you can do is continue to practice. Try what Blue Meanie reccomended. That definitely could help.

I miss my dreamsigns alot lately but that's most likely because I've slacked on reality checking.
Blue's idea is great. I think I may give it a go.
