Just making this topic to introduce myself and give a little info about me :P
I've been hearing about lucid dreaming all my life in passing and of course the movie Vanilla Sky but even then I didn't think much of it, I recently heard of it from a topic in a forum I frequent (GameFAQs) and everyone got talking then links to wikis came up the finnally here, I read through all the info on the site and a few topics here and TBH i'm a little skeptical about HOW real this can feel although some of this stuff i'm hearing seems awesome and I think i'd like to try it, I always thought I had a decent imagination, as a kid I used to daydream and act out stuff IRL ect, Hell, I'm 19 and I still do it in private sometimes!
Being an avid anime watcher there are a few things i'd like to try if this feels and seems as real as you all say, Well i'm looking foreward to trying all this!
Now to get to my first task... dream recall...... I suck at that in the first place too >_<

Hi and welcome to Dream Views.
Get a dreamjournal started, one at least at home that you keep at beside for easy access when you wake in the morning. Starting one online in the Dream Journal might help too. Others might read and be able to help you find dreamsigns or other things that might help you get lucid.
What are you planning to do that's anime related?

Yup LDing is as real as they say ofcourse the vividness can change from dream to dream. You ain't the only anime fan on here, there's many of them.
Dream recall can be improved if you keep a dream journal and wake up after each dream and write down anything you can remember from events of that dream to how you feel. You can also record you dreams at our very own Dream Journal forum.
