I can't seen to get into LD. I've tried RC's all day telling myself I want a lucid and thinking about it through out the day. The first 2 days it was on my mind constantly but then I decided to cool it down and not think about it as much so I wouldn't worry about having one but when I do that I still can't get it. I'm mostly doing anything right now any tips would be great. PLEASE PM ME ONLY if your giving me help or you can add me on Xbox Live my gamertag is: Holych1cken
Thanks,

Woah woah woah! Have patience! Lucidity doesn't happen just like that, it takes time, and that time varies from person to person. You seem to be stressing. If I were you, I'd concentrate on having good dream recall and a consistent dream journal. Once your dream recall is good, lucid dreams are sure to follow (because you'll naturally know the 'feeling' that you're in a dream, because you remember them so often). It may take a while (weeks), so don't fret. Each night you're getting closer. Just remember that, and you'll be fine.
On a side note, your avatar picture reminds me of my first photoshop edit, so very long ago. Oh? Could it be that I used it as a background? Right here.

I figured but I was sort of getting angry last night because a lot of people I see on here get it on their first try... Also that is the same picture.
P.S. Ignore what I said about PM'ing me

First this is first, you need to take lucid dreaming step by step and your first step should be working up your dream recall. After all you can't have a lucid dream if you aren't remembering your dreams. Since you didn't mention anything about your current level of dream recall, I'm going to assume for the sake of this message that you have decent recall.
Lucidity doesn't happen overnight :hrm: It takes time to train your subconscious to start looking for signs that your dreaming. That is what constantly doing reality checks and thinking about lucid dreaming over the day does to help. It trains your subconscious and gets your brain thinking about dreaming and reality and determining between the two.
What is wrong with constantly thinking about lucid dreaming? Believe me, enjoy it while you still have such a strong interest and motivation in the subject, because it will fade. Give it some time. It could take you a few weeks before you have your first (and possibly extremely disappointing) lucid dreaming. I don't say that to get you down, but it's the truth.
Keep consistent with your dream journal and reality checks and don't let that spark of interest fade and you'll become lucid soon enough.

This is really something that can take some time. Two days, wow, I don't know how someone could do this in two days without taking drugs. I am not suggesting drugs, I am just saying, you have to give yourself some time. IMO, a person should start getting really good dream recall first. I don't know where you are on this so I will just say this anyway. If you already know this, just disregard what I am saying.
Put a notepad and pen by your bed or a tape recorder, whatever is easiest. When you wake up, record any dreams you remember. If you cannot remember any just be patient, the intent to do so should bring results. Read some in a Lucid Dream book before going to sleep and say to yourself, I will remember my dreams tonight. When you wake up, do not move a muscle until you remember something, anything. Record it. Keep doing this and be patient. Then some day when you least expect it, you may have to get up to go to the bathroom and find yourself watching or participating in your dream. This is just one way, but very effective.
Also meditation is really a winner. You don't have to be of any religion or on any spiritual quest to meditate. Get some good meditation tapes and listen to them when you are very relaxed, but if you are the type to fall asleep easy, sit up. Just offering my two cents worth.

Stay determined, stay focused on looking for dreamsigns, and doing reality checks.
Write down your dreams every day. And every time you go to sleep, have a strong intenet
to become Lucid.
try goal setting, like, I will have my first LD in the next week. or maybe the next month.
But dont get frustrated if you miss the goal!
Think a lot about what you plan to do when you become Lucid. Pretend that you know
for a fact, that you will become lucid the next time you go to sleep.
And let yourself feel the excitement, that knowledge brings.
try having a seperate notebook for Lucid dreams.
And most important dont give up, know that if you keep at it, it will happen!

Stressing about LDing is probably the second worst thing you could do. The worst thing would probably be stressing about anything else (kills your recall, or at least it kills mine). It took me almost 3 months to have a lucid dream, and when it did happen it was when I decided I was getting ahead of myself and went back to just developing recall. Patience, persistence, and time is all you need. Luck helps too.

Thanks everyone i'll keep thinking of LD'ing in mind and i'll try harder this weekend.

... or don't try harder. Take a break for a day and a night. Think about other things for just a day or so. Frustration usually means that you are trying too hard, sort of like overworking a muscle. Sometimes you just have to lay off to ease the frustration.
