I am having trouble be able to think to myself in a dream. I can't think things like "Is this a dream?" usually when I dream I jst go with it, and I have no recollection of me actually communicating or speaking, it's as if all my DC's are speaking what I am thinking it's almost a 1st and 3rd person dream bot at the same time, if you understand what I mean. Any advice on this, or does it just come with experience. Thanks.

How often throughout the day do you ask yourself "Is this a dream?"? Probably not too often. So logically, in a dream that question wouldn't cross your mind either. I suggest performing reality checks often throughout the day, whenever something odd happens, along with 'just cause.' Don't be so passive, and ask yourself about the plausability of your situation often. Think where you are. How did you get there? Does everything make sense? You have to get in the habit of questioning real life before you will think these thoughts in a dream.

I actually do ask myself if I'm dreaming about 5 out of 7 days, because sometime I fall asleep on the bus and wake up in what seems like a weird place I've never been, or something so out of the ordinary happens I wonder if I fell asleep. Although ever since I've been checking this site out I attempt to do it often.
Another weird thing about my dreams, is that on occasion I'll have this dream where it feels like I learned something so valuable, and wonder how I could live without knowing, but when I wake up it's like this totally foreign concept. Or in a dream there is this "thing" (could be an object, idea, action...) that makes absolutely perfect sense, but when I wake up I'm so confused that I need to stop and think for a few minutes. These "things" are so inexplicable that it's literally impossible to write down.
And I guess this s my first time posting, so thanks for the welcome!

Hi and welcome to Dream Views. :content:
I don't seem to 'think' in dreams either. The most rediculous things happen and the dream me totally accepts it all most of the time. I don't seem to have very many converstations in dreams and if I do I can't recall exactly what was said or what I said unless I was very emotional when I spoke in dream.
You have to really train your self, your mind, to question your surroundings like abra suggested. I don't do this very often which is why the dream me never stops and seriously considers the situation she's in.
In closing, practice, practice practice.
