new to boards

I am new to these boards but have been practicing dream recall and lucid dreamining since february. I have had a few lucid dreams, which generally did not last very long. Last night however I had a series of lucid dreams where i was able to keep lucidity and practice a little dream control. In the past I have been able to fly for about 15 seconds, and became lucid long enough to throw a few desks around my old high school classroom. Recently I have been trying to go straight into a lucid dream right from when I fall asleep. I have heard that it is easier to perform this after a few hours of sleep but 2 nights ago i was successfully went into a dream lucid, but it only lasted for a few seconds and i was seeing half of my room and half of the dream after that. Yesterday night i did the same thing until I noticed that I was in my backyard. My friends Ryan and Brandon were there and immediately I told them that i was lucid and dreaminig. I talked with them and they were both telling me that they were not lucid and would not remember this conversation in the morning. After talking with them i wanted to try to fly since I had a little luck with it before. This dream however I was not able to fly at all. I then decided that if i could not fly then maybe i should practice jumping. I found this to be way easier and was soon able to jump to the roof of my house. The only way I could jump high however was to focus on the side of the object and then jump up and grab onto the ledge (i could not land on my feet on top). The next thing I knew I was in a pool area. In the pool area there were 2 men with guns. They were shooting wildly and every body was freaking out. It was day time now instead of dusk like when i was in my backyard and I jumped into the pool because I figured the bullets will slow down upon hitting the water. After a few minutes I decided that since I am dreaming I could not get hurt by the bullets and began to swim towards the two men. They were by the ledge of the pool. As i neared closer they began shooting into the pool and i got hit once in the hand and once in the side with bullets. It did not hurt but it did feel strange and i noticed wounds had appeared where i got shot. When I surfaced I realized that the crowd of people there had charged the two men as well and disarmed them and were taking them away. A few people came over to me to see if I was alright. I told them I was dreaming so im sure I would be fine and would try and heal myself. I put my right hand over my left hand where the wound was and pictured my hand without the wound. When i removed my hand the wound was shrinking and went away. I placed a towel over my side wound and pictured the same, the process worked again. After I was healed I realized that I was back in my town with my friend Ryan. I was in my car (same car as the car i drive in real life too 05 silver chevy cavalier) and i decided to have some fun. I tried jumping up a building and then jumping off and landing on my back. I fell about 50 feet and hit the ground which i found amusing. I then decided to go to Ralphs (the grocery store) to steal all their alcohol and get a little buzz in my dream. I drove there and walked into the store. When i entered the store I decided it would be cool if i could go invisible. I spent a great deal of time standing in the same spot in the store trying to turn invisible. I finally made my left hand go invisible by staring at it and trying to see straight through it. When it was invisible my hand resembled the liquid people in those capri sun commercials. After a few more minutes I was able to turn my entire body and clothes invisible for a few seconds or so. I left the store without taking anything because I was distracted by my new found skill. I then decided I wanted to do crazy tricks with my car. It was a good idea at first cuz i was able to barrel roll in the air after i hit a curb going like 100. I landed fine and then decided to try a 360 going super fast. I tried this and completely spun out and crashed. I did not know how to fix my car in my dream so i started walking where I saw ryan again. He told me that there was evil over the wall we were standing next to. It was about a 30 foot wall so i used my jumping power to see over it. I peaked over the ledge and saw a green looking man that looked about 12 foot tall with four arms. He was pretty far away and im sure he did not see me. I decided that the two men i encountered with the guns was enough conflict for one night and woke myself up. When i went to sleep it was around 11:45. When I woke up from the lucid dream my clock said around 1 o'clock. I am not really sure whether or not I actually woke up cuz i did not stay up long. I reminded myself to write my dream down as soon as I woke up in the morning and to not forget any of it. Upon waking up this morning I wrote it down and am very excited about my breakthrough. I was wondering how my dream compares to some other peoples lucid dreams

Ya, your dream sounds like it was pretty awesome, very cool.

A agree, paragraphs are a good start, and punctuation in general. Also, there's a section where you can keep your own Dream Journal entries in, check it out :wink:

Yeah - the advice being offered is friendly, so don't let it put you off. Reading a massive block of text like that is intimidating... many wouldn't bother with it, no matter how much good stuff it contains.

In fact, I've tried twice and haven't gotten through it, even though I know it contains a good lucid dream in there somewhere!

Again - this is being said to make what you have to ask and offer more accessible. Don't worry about "perfect paragraphs" - just break it up a bit!
