Sleep talking
Okay, I had a LD where I was making objects float around, and I could crush them with a thought, and I found myself feeling like I was going to wake up, so I tried spinning for the first time. It worked, and in the next dream I'm awaking in my bed. I walk down the hallway and I see our stove, and it just looks totally wired, And I see my dad in the kitchen, and I ask him "Am I dreaming" and my voice sounds like i just mumbled that. And he replies "i don't know, you tell me". I head back to my room, and it's actually the room I lived in while I was in high school, so I tried the whole "reading thing" and I pick up a CD and words are simply disappearing while i read them, and thats when I became lucid. The question I have is...what I was asking my dad about me dreaming....do you think I sounded like that because I was literally saying it? Or something else. As for what I've been told, I don't talk in my sleep, but I have woken up after kicking a wall (big toe hurt for a week after)

If you felt yourself loosing the dream once it may have been because you were about to wake up. In that case the sleep paralysis may have lapsed a little bit and you might have actually said it.
I doubt it though, it's more likely that you haven't honed your listening skills in dreaming yet. Next time try running water and see what it sounds like.
I'm more confused by the fact that your father told you that he didn't know. For me dream characters almost indiscriminately say yes in that case.

hmmm it's just odd, cause he sounded perfectly clear, and my voice was just mumbled, oh and the "i don't know, you tell me", thing would his answer to get smart with me, and give me my answer at the same time. and I've had a bunch of LDs and my voice never has sounded messed up. The only thing thats normally a little off is speed. Sometimes it's like everythings underwater, But I'll try running water the next time i'm lucid.
