Introduction\First Controled Lucid Dreams
Hey y'all! :) Let me introduce myself first, as this is my first post: my name's Toni and I'm from Portugal. I've been having lucid dreams for about 1 year, so I googled for "dream control" (as I didn't thought it was that common) and came upon this website. I read the introductory techniques and some of the tutorials lightly, because I've been having this muscular pain between my ribs :S and so I haven't been taking much sleep. The next day I had a nightmare were BIG thugs were chasing me to beat me up, and suddenly realized I was dreaming (which had never happened in a nightmare) and I stopped running and began laughing at their faces saying "You can't hurt me! It's just a dream!" XD. Yesterday I came here and read some of the tutorials, mainly about relaxation and how to gain control of a dream and remain in that dream, because whenever I realized I was dreaming the dream would change or I would wake up. So... This night I had about 6 lucid-dreams in my last sleep cycle (between 8-10h PM), one of which was probably a WILD. In the first one, after a while I had realized I was dreaming, I began to wake up. So I did what I read yesterday: Concentrating on the dream itself but relaxing at the same time. And it worked!!! I think I woke up just for a brief moment and then returned to the dream with lucidity. In the next dreams it was progressively easier to attain lucidity and keep it. About the WILD I spoke about: I woke up to get a glass of water and when I returned to bed my body almost instantly paralized and I was aware(other times I've been I this state, I would freak out and wake up LOL), and remembering to concentrate and relax I entered a lucid dream (which was as vivid as the others, contrarily to what I had read).
So, now my goal is to improve my dream recall because I can only remember the last cycle dreams and sometimes not even that, and to practice relaxation techniques and self-induced WILDs.
Also, I have the power to (in order of strength): control people around me (their interaction with me\not between them), draw a katana at will (don't ask me why, I dunno!), fly (although sometimes I loose control). Sometimes they turn to nightmares where I'm aware, but I don't try to change them back: I simply decide to fight them(as I've read this is important).
The only thing I don't like is that I can't change the background\setting of the dream, so if I'm dreaming about a rainy day at school I can't change that :( and I can't spawn items(sorry the very PC-Games-Addicted-Talking. Spawn LOL)... I'd like to change my dreams to a tropical sunny island :P! Any tips on this???
