Hi im new and got a question

Hi i heard about all those lucid dreams stuff from my friend and i thought i had simellar experiences so i just wanted to ask about it

it happened 2 times i was dreaming while knowing that im dreaming and just relaxing resting and watching my dream i was in this car chase scene when suddenly i stopped got out of the car and i had a feeling of danger that someone is chasing to kill me however i had this awsome feeling the feeling that i can do whatever i want suddenly i felt i could change the dream scene and fly and what happened was that i started to fly and laugh cause of this awsome feeling but it happened for only like 3 sec and then i woke up in another dream however that other dream was totally real like i woke up in my own bed and i lost the feeling of being in a dream

second time this happened also was when i was in some kind of danger i closed my eyes and again i had this awsome feeling of that i can do whatever i want but this time i woke up even before i did something and yet again in another dream about me waking up and i lost the feeling of dream control

so i wanted to ask what exacly was that before the false awakaning you guys got all sorts of names to dream stuff so i want to know what i have experienced

why it happened for such a short time?

how can i make it last when it happens?

ok, now, what's happening is that you're getting so excited (within your dream) that you're waking yourself up. Sure, lucids and that feeling of control are great, but it's easy to reach a point to which your body will snap out of it's restful state and "alert" your mind to wake up. Good news is, with practice you'll learn how to get used to that feeling and not let it snap you out of the dream. Most people have this happen usually during sex in dreams - understandibly one of the most exciting experiences you can have in a dream, along with flying.

It's normal, you'll get the hang of it!
