Dreaming/napping
If dreaming comes from entering REM cycles, then why do I have some of my most vivid dreams while napping? A long nap for me is only like 30-45 minutes max, and I thought it takes about 90 minutes to enter the first REM period.
If I have a 30 minute nap, and wake up, and then try to WILD, will I be able to do so?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
As I understand "the brain" skips all the other sleep stages when napping. So it goes straight to REM I guess. Maby someone else has more knowledge on this subject, but anyway that's all I know (think).

Thank you, that does make sense
It is a peculiar phenomina
I hope I hear some more info on it

I think it has something to do with your mind already "working" while napping. As in when you sleep at night it needs to rest, but during the day it doesn't really need to rest, just relax.
Does that make much sense? I don't know how to say it clearly :(

That makes sense, I wonder if you shut down as much for a quick nap, because I"ve seen people move around during naps, and they scratch themselves, etc...
so maybe the body just picks and chooses what aspects of sleep are needed at that time, because I don't think you enter full on SP...but then again, what do I know, it's like I have a degree in neurology :P
