Just found out I'm lucid dreaming....

I was talking to a buddy of mine earlier today. The topic of dreams and dreaming came up. To make a long story short, I found out that I have experienced lucid dreams.
I never thought anything of it before. I always thought it was ordinary to have dreams like that. The LD's that I can remember go back to when I was about 8-10 years old (about 12 years ago), but aren't as vivid as some of you have described. Ironically, I've been getting them after I experienced an OBE after I nearly drowned. I'm not sure if that would have anything to do with it, or if it's just coincidence.
For the most part, the LD's have been "real-world" situations. The sticking point is that I can recall telling myself that this is only a dream. It seems like I can leave any particular LD that I want on command. Not necessarily wake up, but go back to a seemingly dreamless sleep.
My first experience of LD's started out as nightmares, or me being in a bad situation. I would go through the motions of the dream but knowing it's only a dream and it won't physically effect me. My more recent LD's have been more sexually driven than anything.
That's my story, as far as lucid dreaming goes at least. By browsing through the forum, I've become intrigued with the vividness and fantasy aspect of LD's. I'll be lurking around the forum and doing some more research on this, so I can get into some discussions and comment on some of the posts.
