It's different for everyone. I don't really see stuff, except green or red circles but I hear and feel stuff. The paralysis for me is different, I think. A lot of people say they can't move, but I just don't want to move while in sp. I can if I want, I just really don't want to. I almost always get the vibrations, but it feels like everything around me is vibrating, not me. Occasionally I'll feel like I'm being pulled through a tube or something weird like that. I always hear stuff, usually little kids or loud banging and I get a lot of ringing in my ears. But like I said, it's different for everyone so you'll have to experience it yourself if you want to know.
The weird sensations are hynogogia and they're different for each person. I've never successfully WILDed, but I've gotten as far as hynogogic hallucinations. I don't have scary sensations, I just hear myself thinking. Like actually hear it, like someone else is talking. And I get ringing in my ears. But some people feel falling, or a feeling of someone else being in the room. It's just different for each person, so you'll have to try it out.
Ive gotten to hallucinations but i cant really tell how far I've got b/c i have never completely successfully WILDed. The only physical sensation i've had is numbness in my legs and upper arms, with tingling in my hands and fingers.
It's like this if you count dream reentry as wild since you are awake when you do it, ok you are laying in bed and you know your awake, then you will start to feel heavy and you'll have less and less physical awarness of your body, things will progressivly get more and more dream like in nature, you may feel as if the transition stage was a dream, I usualy have no idea when the transition stage happens your just awake one moment and things feel dreamy the next.
Well, some people can WILD without even entering SP. (I don't know how!) I've only WILDed once, so I guess I'll start with SP:
SP for me is simply complete paralysis of the body. I never EVER see HI, but that doesn't mean anything. BillyBob, a member here on DV also never sees HI, but he's a master of WILD. I sometimes here faint sounds, but nothing really strong. It's mostly just that I cannot move, even if I want to. Many people get shocked at how strong the paralysis is; not being able to move at all, even though you're conscious, can be frightening! If you are able to stay calm and realize that this is a natural process, however, you'll stay in SP.
Thoughts will come and go, and if you DO see/hear HI, it might start resembling your thoughts more and more. The transition phase is very simple, but very hard to actually complete. You have to remain perfectly calm and not try to move or wake up, etc... Other than that, it feels like you can't move, maybe a little hot, and maybe some vibrations/sounds. After a little time passes, eventually you'll literally "open" you're eyes, even though you know it's only you're dream eyes. It feels exactly like using your real eyes, though. You'll pretty much have control of yourself at this point, though it's still a dream, and closing your eyes or losing concentration can result in waking up.
This was only my WILD experience, though, so I don't know how others experience it. Again, I don't see HI at all, and hear very little, so my WILD was probably pretty calm, at least during the transition!
I think inorder to have no sp, as soon as you feel heavy start visualizing your self doing acrobatics and you'll feel like your actually moving there is 2 ways to move your dream body by thought and by actual physical will (but you can't move in the physical so it just uses that signal to initiate movement in the dream) the mental thought part cannot be stoped by SP so juist mentaly move yourself out of the body which is what bob peterson suggested to get out of sp, personaly I do imagenary flips but it's all up to you.
If you learn to operate dreams more by thought including your movment you can get out of sticky situations and you don't have to wrry about sp or false tiredness in dreams.
AHH SO THATS WHAT IT IS! sometimes i just sit there and convince myself i'm going to lucid in a dream, but i never knew what the WILD was. so thats why i hear myself, or hear people talking, but whenever i move about to see what it is, it goes away!
