Recurring Dream -- Stuck in the Dark

Hi everybody,
I'm new here looking for an interpretation of a dream. Today, I randomly remembered a recurring dream I have had and would like to gather some ideas on what it could represent in my life. It goes like this:

I am in various houses, including my own apartment and others I do not recognize as of yet, and I am walking through the house trying to turn on various lights (light switches, not lamps) and none of them are working, or only very few are. I am not particularly afraid of the dark in real life, but in the dream I am very wary of it and the lights not working is making me feel quite anxious. It goes on like this for a while, and that is all I can recall.
