Can't sleep
Hey all,
I recently found out about this "Lucid Dreaming" thing, and it sounds very interesting and fun. For a few weeks now I've been following the guides for how to do it. The one that they say is most useful (sleep 5 hours, wake up for 2) doesn't really work for me, because I have school :p so I have to use other alternatives. Problem is, no matter how much I try, I can't get to sleep. I simply lie there. Once I stop trying, I go to sleep immediatelly.
Is there anything that can be done to solve this problem? Thanks :)

Hi and welcome to the forum,
You could try some lucid induction or relaxation mp3's. These arn't as new agey as they sound, just mp3's designed to get you to the needed state. There's many relaxation techniques around the forums too, and then there's sleep times and drinking the right things etc, im sorry i cant be more helpful but its not something ive ever suffered with. Ill have to see if i can get some links for you from around the forum.

So do I stick these mp3s onto my mp3 player and listen to them then, or just before I go to bed?
Also, my friend who's been doing it for a while now said it works if I eat lots of cheese... it sounds like a joke but I dont think he'd joke about it when he said he does it to hang around with his dead friend :o
So yeah, I'm starting to get a little sick of this cheddar, but I'm still munching away!
Cheers

You would listen to them while in bed, they should bring you down to a nice relaxed state on the edge of sleep (in theory). I have a good relaxation mp3 somewhere on my pc that ive never posted before, ill see if i can dig it out.
And i hate cheese, so id recommend you stop with that, quite sick, plan :p

You could have a problem with tossing and turning like I do you may not know it, just try and lay in one position and don't move, and keep your eyes shut, just think casualy about the day, you may be suprised how effective something that simple really is.
