Hi there, lol one you've almost lost hope after just 1 week? Just be patient, it's not going to happen straight away. It's takes time to lucid dream. I can't give you a specific time because it is different for everyone, for example it took me 2 weeks where as it could take some other guy 1 month.
Be positive, if you have any negativity on the mind, it will most likely destroy the chances of having a lucid.
Hey there! Welcome to DV, and I hope you enjoy your stay. If you see, I just joined this month, and its the 25th. I had my first LD last night, so thats 25 days. The thing that is KEY in getting an LD is confidence. If you don't believe you are going to get one, you won't.
Some key things to help you start...
-Don't worry about WILD, HILD, MILD, etc etc quite yet.
-For starters, try writing down your dreams as soon as you wake up, TRUST ME this helps.
-Get into the habit of doing Reality Checks in real life, this way, you're more likely to do them in a dream.
-Constantly question your own world, to see if you are in a dream or not
-Keep hoping, and you will get one.
Also, don't be surprised if your first LD is only a minute or so. The more you do it, the better you will become.

a week? Man, I have been trying for a few weeks and just had 2 in a row. They weren't the best LD i could have had, but it was still fun. never lose hopeQuote:
