How can you tell if you're in SP?

What's happening to me each time I try is that the tip of my foot, or occasionally, the entirety of one of my hands, will get tingly. It'll seemingly spread, and just stop. Also, if that was SP, what do I do from there? I get these pretty swirls of green light, but no imagery or anything (I'm actually glad!) and I'm not sure how to get into an LD from there.

Well, these pretty swirls of green light that you saw sound like imagery! And if you had them, you were very close to a WILD success. When you have them just be calm, wait for a while, and either the dream will start ( gradually, or suddenly ) or nothing will happen. If nothing seem to be happening, do a reality check, because it's possible that you are dreaming already. If the reality check show that you are dreaming, just get up and do whatever you want. If it shows that you are awake, than next time you try, stay still for a little while longer before you do the reality check.
