my first lucid dreams

I had a few lucid dreams, and i find it really hard to control myself - its like ive been drugged, or im incredibly drunk (i cant see straight, or walk properly, but my mind is clear). i had a dream a while ago like this and i was in a hotel or something, and i could hardly walk straight line and i was falling over and bumping into things, but i was not lucid. then i had another one like it, where i falsly awoke and basically fell out of bed because i was so 'drunk' and i staggerd to the bathroom and got trapped in the shower. at this time i decided that it could be a dream, because i felt the same as when i was in the hotel. i did not have a watch on and no light switches around, so i tryed to focus on something to see if it was at all dreamlike, but it was difficult to see straight because i felt too 'drunk', but i did stop and look at a towel, i know i have, and it had detail just like real life. i must have known i was dreaming, because i remember being really impressed with the detail, and texture of it, although it was not real. this is where i woke up.
finally, in my last lucid dream, i was again really really drunk, and this dream did not last long, because i recognised my state of mind from the last few times, so i just looked at the detail of my hands, and i woke up.

i have kinda been using this state of mind to recognise that i am dreaming, but how do i learn to control myself, as i am clearly not drunk or drugged, because i am mentally sober, just not physically.
i will try to make these dreams last longer as it seems i wake up a few minutes after realising i am dreaming, but has anyone had dreams like these and/or know how to 'sober up'?
