I was just wondering if WBTB (Wake Back to Bed, i think) was necessary to have and LD. The alarm I have is very loud, and will usually scare the crap out of me when it goes off, waking me up very much so. How many of you use the technique?

I was just wondering if WBTB (Wake Back to Bed, i think) was necessary to have and LD. The alarm I have is very loud, and will usually scare the crap out of me when it goes off, waking me up very much so. How many of you use the technique?
WBTB isn't nessesary to have a LD but it's a good way for people to start getting into it so I hear. I personally don't use it but understand that it works.
