Hey guys! I registered here yesterday! I wouldn't consider myself a "noob" to lucid dreams. I've known about them for months and read a loads of information on it as well as on astral projection. Really cool stuff. :D

Thank you all. Yesterday as I was in bed to fall asleep I was "looking" at the hypnogogic (sp?) patterns in front of me, closing my eyes. I haven't paid attention to it much before, but as I was examining it, it was like I could decide the patterns with my mind. I could decide what the shapes would be, and they would be. For example, I saw things that looked like a space ship and some kind of portal or something. I also heard the sound of a small hammer hitting something, but I know that wasn't real. It was like this hammer hit on something three times or something, but as I've heard that I knew it couldn't be real.
I just thought of something else. About four months ago, as I'd been aware of lucid dreams for a long time already, I tried the WILD technique lying in bed and eventually something really strange happened. My heart rate was sped up, it was beating too fast just to be doing nothing, and the hypnogogic patterns showed what I could make out as a kind of bridge. I also recall a blue flash to my right.
What do you make out of that?
They are pretty odd, I can never seem to get through hypnagogia without getting distracted by it. The only WILD I can remember was with almost no transition.
By the way, I love the name. That song rocks :D
