Im kindof scared to LD.

I dont know why but earlier tonight i was WILDing but then this thought ran through my mind *What if i LD and i dont wake up*? I mean i know that wont happen but im scared. I want to do it so bad i did it once last night and i fell in love with it, but im so scared i have NEVER done anything like this and im just God im like torn in half one side of me is telling me no, but the other side is like you can fly, you can visit New York ( that's where i want to live), you can go to space. So what should i do? Any tips on how to get over the fear thats holding me back? Please Help!!:eek:

Don't worry, lots and lots of people feel this way once in a while. Just remind yourself that you can stop at any time, and be exactly as you were beforehand.

I myself tend to scare myself with such thoughts, especially during WILD.

Whenever I these feelings get too disconcerting, I like to get out of bed, and try to put distance from these thoughts. Maybe listen to some music, or drink something soothing. Once you have calmed down, you will be able to try again without much trouble.

If all else fails, try adapting a mantra. Anything to keep a sense of reason.

Avoid thinking of the journey, think of the destination! This will also help you enter dream-state if you happen to be WILD'ing.

it is a pretty intense thing to be doing to your psyche...

recently I've been aware I'm dreaming in every dream, but I have no control and I feel disturbed, confused and frightened. I think I sleep better when I don't know I'm dreaming.

All I have to say is don't be scared. Your first experience will most likely be a great one and you'll probably be eager to do it again. There really is nothing to fear. It's pretty much the same thing as going to sleep any other night but with a little bonus.:)

The ting you need to remember is that nothing in a lucid dream is real, just lie any dream it's a scenareo that lasts a short while, then it's gone. Nothing can hurt you; nothing can scqre you, it's all just part of your imagination. You'll wake up.

Don't worry about a thing, you are fine, theres no such thing as not waking up from a dream unless you die but if you die you won't remain in the dream because your brain would shut off, but thats a different story, you are perfectly safe, you may have a lengthy dream but you will never get trapped in a dream as far as i know, just keep cool and enjoy your lucid dreams, just look forward to waking up after a lucid dream and know that you have control of the dream and what you do, if you want to wake up, then you can! :)

The problem is supposed to be staying in the LD, not leaving it ;)
Seriously though, it's not easy to have really long lucid dreams when you want to, so trying to get out of it should be easy.
