      Hello to all !

Hello everyone! its nice to see there a huge forum about lucid dreaming, been trying to lucid dream for somewhat around 6 months now, no luck, but hey, i got all my life to do it, so no need to rush

ive only tried wilding in those 6 months, mostly cause im to lazy to wake up early ( im a night person ) but im reading about the WBTB thing, since i found the tutorial here, and hope ill have some luck !
Ive never succeeded in wilding, got a few times that my body goes numb, feel vibrations, see random colors, heartbeat going higher, and feel like im about to fall down, but then i get scared, and move , but read now that its nothing to worry about so i hope ill have more luck to!

i also have a few question, like everytime i get to bed, i get around 2 or 3 times before i sleep a veeeery short ... movie(?) about someone who is about to die, and just before it dis, i shockingly wake up with a high heartbeart, its hatefull, since that someone got overriden by a car, train, truck, airplane ( >_> ) , and some other vehcicles, also in mid-air about to fall down, and the worst thing of everything is, the "someone" doesnt move! you can see it coming like 1 min ago, and then wham

also, had a amazing dream yesterday, very vivid, not extremely realistic, but amazingly fun, was a very long dream to, and i can remember me saying something about thinking about to go lucid since i knew it was a dream but thinking it was already a awesome dream and didnt need lucid-ness!

Argh, so much to talk about, but ill keep it at this for now, sorry for long post! ^^/

      Hey AngelGirl, welcome to Dreamviews!

In response to your question: Yes, I've had short little "daydreams" before falling asleep. They aren't usually about people getting ran over, which doesn't sound very nice. You might be able to truly notice that it's happening, and take advantage of it to become lucid.

I've been trying WILD for a while too, and I've had some of the things that you described before. I'm ever so close; but I'm keeping at it, and I hope you succeed with it some time soon.

Good luck with your attempts, and feel free to ask any more questions.

Sounds to me like you're experiencing a rather unpleasant form of hypnagogia. It's nothing to worry about. Unless you think you're having premonitions about an actual event, which I think is highly unlikely. You might just need to get your thoughts directed toward more pleasant things before bed.

Of course, if you have serious concerns about what you're seeing, you can always talk to a professional, depending on how you feel about that, or just ask for some specific advice in the forums here. There's a place for every question here at DV.

      Good luck!
      LD Counter (as of 07.25.07) = 5 (2 WILDs)
Short-term goal: Recall three full dreams a night for a full week.
Long-term goal: Have three LDs per week for one month.
Longer-term goal: Have one six-hour LD every night! (Shooting too high? We'll see.)
Waking life goal: Round up some NPSG equipment to study my own sleep patterns.

Well, i dont think about it really, and im not a suicidal type of persons, so i have no idea where its ocming from!
and yea, i am noticing it is happening, but i cant do anything about it, but ill try to atleast move that "someone" if its possible!

      @ silver
well, im not thinking about anything, when i go try Wilding or just sleeping, so i have no idea where its coming from, but ill think about happy things then instead of nothing!

since i started to be in this forum ( which is awesome! ) been reading some things, and for now im trying to WILD and WBTB, but im not having much dream recall, i think its mostly since as soon as i get woken up i get out of bed and do stuff, and i have no time to think about dreams! so, is there any way to improve my dream recall ?

Keep a dream journal, and try writing down dreams in the middle of the night if you wake up them, or right after you wake up. It also helps if you just lie still for a couple minutes and replay the dream in your head. Welcome to the forum!

As a newbie myself, who has experienced LDs and WILDs thought my own trial and error, I'd say go with learning how to recognize LDs through reality checks, and dream recall with dream journals, becuase those are the two techniques I never learned on my own that I'm trying to learn now that I've read about them. WILDing is a life-altering experience, but if you try too hard to get there, it's just a lot of frustration. I'd say start with the basics, and hopefully the rest will follow naturally. I'm doing it the f-ed up backwards, home-schooled way.
