Welcome, read this.
Sure thing, pal. Here's a quick reference cheat-sheet to help you get started here.
----
"Straight up trippin'" - True/Under the effects of drugs.
"Truly True Truth" - A lie.
"It's subjective" - I have no fucking clue what I'm talking about.
"THE MATRIX" - Please kill me as violently as possible.
"Theist" - Moron.
"Psionics" - See "THE MATRIX"
"Quantum Physics makes it possible" - I don't understand quantum physics at all.
"Respect my belief" - I can no longer logically support my position.
"While high on acid, I..." - Please brace yourself for the dull thud against your skull as I am about to tell you about my insane "theory" that only makes sense while under the influence of mind-altering substances.
"In my opinion..." - I can say anything, regardless of how stupid and unfounded it is as long as I label it as an opinion.
"Magick" - Castrate me.
----
That pretty much covers it, I think. Also, any post containing the words "universe" "infinity" "reality", etc., should simply be scrolled past (and let me tell you, you'll be doing quite a lot of it).
Thxs for the info

Yo O don't be trippin'. M-dawg was just showin' this n00b the slang, see, an' that's da truth.
Hey, welcome to the forum.
Be sure to read what Oneironaught posted, it's good stuff. Mark is joking there, one or two off topic gudges or something. Ignore him.
I believe TILD is thirst induced lucid dream where you don't drink anything and go to bed thirsty so your body tries to go get water or some crazy thing like that.
There's new "ILD's" popping up every week around here. The glossary is designed to make the most widely-used and accepted terms understandable. It's not a quest to keep up with every new acronym the happens to pop up on every one's whims or whimsy.
You're welcome to post a new thread containing acronyms not included in Howie's list. If they're accepted they may be added to the list.
OK. How about WBTB? Is that a new, "accepted" acronym? Because it is not in the glossary. Since this is the only site I look at, the only terms I look up ones I find HERE, just like TILD.
As a newbie with a whopping 3 posts, I should not need to be creating my own glossary here for others.
I wish I could remember the other acronym I was trying to look up. It was not as obscure as TILD. Maybe I should work on my acronym recall.
WBTB is an accepted acronym, I'm not sure why it's not there. I've seen everyone use it, I've never seen Wake-Back-To-Bed used here on the forums.
Well, that's what I'm saying. If you notice that some aren't on that list, you could bring it up and maybe some one will edit the post or add a new post to the topic. (I guess you're bringing it up now so that's a start.) I didn't write the post. It's just the only one I know of of its kind here at DV.
For more info on the various acronym meanings, read through the tutorial section. Well, scratch that. I just checked the tutorial section and it's still rather barren from the forum software change-over a few months ago.
Time to start scanning old threads.
