I'm interested...
Hello, my name is Mark, and I am 15 years old.
I was refered to this site by a friend on another forum last night, and read all of the stuff on the main site, and I am extremely interested. I have never experienced a lucid dream (or at least not that I can remember) but I would very much like to.
A bit about myself: I am currently in my fourth year of secondary school, and still bored out of my mind, waiting for us to start working and being challenged. I am a musician, and more recently a composer. I play electric/classical guitar, piano, recorder, flute and bongo drums, and compose for a variety of ensembles, my favourite of course being symphony orchestra :) Other things I am interested in include Maths, Chess, Evolutionary Biology, Astrophysics and Ccmputer programming.
As someone who doesn't have a great deal of time spare, the idea of being able to harness my dreams for something creative/constructive, even just relaxing, is extremely appealing.
For various reasons, I am unable to keep a dream diary, will this seriously hold back my efforts to LD? Also, I'm wondering what sort of things I can do, besides pinching my arm regularly :)
Thanks for reading, Mark.

Mark, welcome to Dream Views!
Dream diarys/journals are helpful in that they help strengthen your dream recall and will show you common dream signs that you can use to become lucid. If you are recalling fairly well one to two dreams per night, you should be able to have a LD without a dream diary and still be able to remember the experience!
You might want to review the Newbie Zone Guide for helpful information about this site: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=36723
You may also wish to check out the Tutorials forum which contains information on the various lucid dreaming techniques: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=25.
If you should have any questions, please ask and we'll do our best to get you answers!
Now that you found us .. may your journey towards lucid dreams begin!

Hey there, welcome to Dream Views!
Dream Journals are important to lucid dreaming, as they encourage you to actively recall your dreams. However I think if you were to get yourself to recall your dreams when you wake up and think about them a little, that should be enough if you're unable.

Thanks guys, surprisingly fast welcome :)
Clairity - Your advice is appreciated, and I shall check out the links you provided :D
Alex D - Thanks for the advice aswell, I do have fairly good dream recall, but I'm afraid waking up in the night to record them would be almost impossible, because I'm a very deep sleeper, and anything that would wake me up would certainly wake up the rest of thehouse, also, I'm out of the door as soon as I get up, so I don't have time for more than shower and breakfast :(
Thanks guys, Mark.
