      Hello All.
Reading this forum for a while, been in the chatroom. Now I guess I should post let everyone know I am here.

Interested in lucid dreams because, not just because of the experience but of the implications scientifically what it all means, and the potential of it.

I have around 1 lucid dream every 3-4 weeks on average. Sometimes more than that.

Don't feel like posting much that is all for now.

      Hey there, welcome.

What sort of scientific implications of the subject interest you?

Thanks adam. Nice to meet you.

Ever since I can remember, being interested in my dreams I have always tried to lucid dream before I knew what it was called. So pretty young. When I was around 11-14 and younger. I remember having vivid and very long lucid dreams that lasted all night. Now it's like I have grown up and need to adjust in a different way to get back to that natural childlike ability that I used to have.

hello Alex D, and thanks for the welcome.
Scientific as in mostly anything that becomes practical that can be applied to the techniques to gain any useful benefit.

      And hello pyroguy
What usually happens is after a fairly good night sleep, I wake up sometime early in the morning, then as I dift back into the dreamstate from a relaxed half awake state. Sometimes if I am lucky I can ideally be in that state where not much is needed to stay awake consciously, before my mind goes to sleep and slips into that dreaming phase while I am still aware. Sometimes I leave my body and go from my room into the dream. Other times things such as a loose tooth will make me realize it's a dream. Once I have fallen asleep. I have experienced false awakening many times.

Sometimes, I wake up and cannot move my arms or anything because my brain has not released whatever lock it has during sleep that stops you from moving when acting out things in the dream. And I'm literally awake mostly but still can't move like what it must feel like to break your neck and not be able to move anything.

Sometimes, weird stuff has happened to me in this state. Such as hearing and seeing people that were not there in the room. Not like an ordinary hallucination, but something that seems to be outside yourself. One time this first happened it was so real when I looked out the window I saw these children in the back yard. Then when I could move, and I got up to look more closely through the window. There was no-one. I was really confused where these children went. As a second ago they were in the yard talking about everything. Then I realized something weird had happened when I was in that paralyzed state before I woke up.

You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.
